Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026.
These terms cover your use of this website: booking a vehicle in, enquiring about a car for sale, sending us a part exchange or a message. They do not replace anything agreed with you in person about a specific job or a specific vehicle — where the two differ, what we agreed with you directly is what counts.
Nothing on this page takes away your rights as a consumer. Where the law gives you a right, it applies whatever these terms say.
Who we are
This website is operated by Bradley MOT Centre, an independent garage and used car dealer. Our address, telephone number and email address are on the contact page. If anything here is unclear, ask us before relying on it.
Using this website
You may use this website to find out about us, to book work on your vehicle, to look at the cars we have for sale and to contact us. You may not:
- Submit anything unlawful, abusive, misleading or deliberately false.
- Book appointments you have no intention of keeping, or send enquiries about vehicles you have no intention of buying.
- Use automated tools to submit our forms, scrape our listings, or place load on the site.
- Attempt to gain access to any part of the site, the admin panel or the database that is not open to the public.
We record the IP address of every form submission and block abuse. If we believe a submission is automated or malicious we will discard it without reply.
There are no customer accounts on this website. You never need to register, and we never ask you to create a password.
Booking your vehicle in
Booking online sends us a request for a time. It is not a confirmed appointment.
We check the diary and confirm by email, usually the same working day. Your appointment exists once you have that confirmation and not before. If the time you asked for is no longer workable we will offer you another; if we cannot fit you in at all we will tell you and say why.
No payment is taken through this website at any stage. There is no deposit to book, and nothing is charged until work has been carried out and you are at the garage.
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, telephone us as early as you reasonably can, so the time can go to somebody else. We do not charge for a cancellation.
Please bring the vehicle at the time confirmed. If you arrive late, or if the vehicle is not in a condition we can work on, we may need to rebook you.
Prices and quotations
Any price shown for a service on this website is a guide to the starting price for a straightforward job on a typical vehicle. What your vehicle actually needs may differ, and the price will differ with it.
We will tell you what a job involves and what it will cost, including any VAT that applies, before we carry it out. If we find something else while your vehicle is with us, we will contact you and get your agreement before doing any additional work. You will not receive a bill for work you did not agree to.
Where a price depends on parts we have to order, we will tell you that at the time rather than after the fact.
Work we carry out
We will carry out work with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time, and for the price agreed — those are your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and we do not attempt to reduce them here.
An MOT test is a test. Presenting a vehicle for one is not a guarantee that it will pass, and a failure is not a fault in our service. We will explain what failed, what it would take to put right, and what it would cost, and you are free to have that work done elsewhere.
Arrangements for leaving a vehicle with us, collecting it, and anything to do with keys or access are agreed with you at the time rather than through this website.
Vehicle information shown on this site
When you enter a registration we retrieve information about that vehicle from DVLA and DVSA records through a third-party service. That information is provided as those bodies hold it. It can be out of date, incomplete or wrong, and we do not control it and cannot correct it.
Please check that the vehicle we show you is your vehicle before continuing. If it is not, or if nothing is found, you can enter the details yourself and carry on — the lookup is there to save you typing, and never stands between you and a booking.
MOT expiry dates and recorded mileages shown on this site come from the DVSA test record. Use them as a guide; the definitive record is the one DVSA holds.
Cars offered for sale
A vehicle listed on this website is an invitation to enquire, not an offer we are bound to accept. Availability, price and specification are confirmed when you contact us, not by the page itself.
- We describe every vehicle as accurately as we can manage. Errors and omissions are possible, and we correct them as soon as we find them.
- Photographs show the actual vehicle unless the listing says otherwise.
- Mileage figures taken from MOT records are shown exactly as DVSA recorded them at each test.
- Equipment lists describe the vehicle as we understand it. If a particular feature matters to you, ask us to confirm it before you travel.
- A vehicle is not reserved for you until we have agreed that with you directly. Until then we may sell it to somebody else, including one you have enquired about.
No vehicle is sold through this website. A sale is agreed with you in person, and the terms of that sale — the price, what is included, any deposit, any warranty, and anything agreed about preparation or repairs — are set out to you in writing at the time. Those terms, not this page, govern the sale.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply to a vehicle you buy from us: it must be as described, of satisfactory quality taking account of its age and mileage, and fit for purpose.
Part exchange
Sending us your vehicle's details through this website is an enquiry. It is not an offer, and no valuation is given online.
We appraise every vehicle in person before making an offer, and any figure we give depends on that appraisal — its condition, its history and what the market is doing at the time. A figure produced by a form that has not seen the car is a guess, and we would rather give you one we will stand behind.
Any offer we make is open for a reasonable period, which we will tell you, and assumes the vehicle is as described and free of finance unless we have agreed otherwise.
Your responsibilities
Please give us accurate information when you book or enquire. If a telephone number or email address is wrong we may not be able to reach you about your appointment, and an appointment we cannot confirm is not an appointment.
If you are booking on behalf of somebody else, please make sure they are happy for you to give us their details.
Availability of this website
We aim to keep this website working and correct, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of faults, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.
Parts of it depend on services we do not control — in particular the registration lookup, which may be unavailable at times. When that happens you can still book and enquire by entering your details yourself, or by telephoning us.
Content on this site
The text, photographs, layout and design of this website belong to Bradley MOT Centre, or are used with permission. You are welcome to look at them, print a page for your own use, and share a link. Please do not copy, republish or reuse them commercially — including republishing our vehicle listings or photographs elsewhere — without asking us first.
Vehicle manufacturer names and model names are used to describe vehicles. They belong to their owners and their use here implies no connection with them or approval by them.
Links to other websites
Where we link to another website — a manufacturer's recall checker, a mapping service, our profile on another platform — we do so because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your statutory rights as a consumer, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, and in relation to this website as distinct from the work we carry out or the vehicles we sell:
- We are not liable for loss arising from the website being unavailable, or from information on it that a third party supplied and we could not verify.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or opportunity.
The work we carry out and the vehicles we sell are covered by the agreement we make with you directly and by your consumer rights, not by this paragraph.
If something goes wrong
Please tell us first, using any of the details on the contact page. Most problems are a misunderstanding and can be sorted out the same day. Tell us what happened, what you would like us to do, and how best to reach you.
If you would like independent advice, the Citizens Advice consumer service can help on 0808 223 1133.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — to reflect a change in what the website does, or a change in the law. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
Law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts there.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
